I love MOPS!!

I had such a great time this morning at MOPS. I love getting in a room full of ladies and gabbing about life, our kids driving us crazy, our kids making us happy and then of course occasionally that man that helped bring those kids into our lives. We are going through a study on this book called Momology by Shelly Radic. In the forward Naomi Cramer Overton says that "Radic has articulated what I knew in my gut to be true--that mothering is an inexact process of figuring out what works for me and my family, and that while there are foundational principles, each child will stretch and challenge our mothering expertise in different ways". Well this was in my gut too. It is so reassuring to hear someone else say it. Often I wish I could do things more like another mom that seems to do it all just perfect, but God made me to be me, and he gave these kids to me knowing who I was and I believe that he has put inside of me just what these precious ones of mine need. I'm so thankful that I have become a part of this group. It seems as though for the last few months I have been finding more and more new connections in our community. It is exciting for me, especially since we have not been a part of a traditional church in a few years, I feel as though I am part of the church when I am with all these new friends in my life.
