Are we BEST Friends?

My awesome sister in law Jill and I discovered today that we are one of each others best friends. This is really funny, because for months now we have been spending many of our stay at home Mom hours together. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we watch each others boys so that we can each go to the gym. Most days this ends in us eating lunch together at her house, going out to lunch, or some shopping. Today was no different and these times shared with my new Best Friend are always a happy ones.
Today while she slaved away at the gym, I slaved away on the computer working on one of my favorite hobbies, house hunting. My husband is not so fond of this hobby, since we have only been in our house 3 years and have no plans or money for moving. But I get some crazy rush from checking out all the details of a great house; fenced in yard, Bonus room, hot tub, and a must for Jill, two kitchens, haha, maybe not a must but a dream for sure. And todays house hunting was all about her and my brother and their 3 boys. When she got home I sold her on all the new prospects and we made a plan to check them out. After making sure all the kids had on something green (since it is St. Patty's day and we are great moms) we strapped Jaimie (4 years), Titus (3 years), Conner (1 year) and Jude (1 year) in the car for the exciting adventure of finding the perfect house, well exciting adventure to us anyway. So we rode by lots of houses, peered in some windows, imagined all the boys playing the back yard, and decided if the kitchens were worthy of Jill's amazing cake baking skills. Each of the boys had their toy tools in hand "working" on each others nerves, Titus was crying incessantly, and Conner just trying to hold his eyes open, but none of this mattered. Something about having another mom around helps the chaos of the kids not seem so...chaotic.
Finally we decided it was time for a little lunch, and todays lunch would be popcorn at Target. After 10 minutes of strapping them in buggies, unstrapping them for the potty, potty break for moms, and waiting for "Lunch", we were finally ready to explore our newest horizon. We checked out the $4 shirts and shorts, Jaimie played us a song on the CD Sampler, we hit all the end of the aisle clearance, checked out the things we had already bought from pampered chef or Southern living at home that were there and much cheaper, oh well, then of course there was need of another potty break, so we parted ways and I continued looking. I made my way all over the store and we met back at the front only to find that we had seperately picked up the granola bars that were on clearance, 4 for $0.48, what a deal. Then we took off for home.
There is a beautiful thing in friendship and realizing that you value and are valued by another person. Jill has been a great friend, we have shared days like today, nothing to special but nice to have someone to share it with, great conversations, our crazy fears, our failures, and triumphs. I told Jill today, "God gave us to each other, no one else could understand our craziness", and knowing that someone else not only understands, but experiences the same craziness that I do, gives me my daily high.
